Much of the morphological diversity seen in multicellular organisms results from changes in body and organ shape. Animals, plants, and other multicellular organisms differ in their body forms. This diversity of body shapes is generated by modifying body shape – or the relative size of organs compared to the rest of the body, or by changing organ shape – the three-dimensional configuration of an organ’s features independent of its size
