  1. Values for fungal loads on northeastern bats are based on the published reports of samples collected from 30 hibernacula colonies in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, New Hampshire and Illinois where P. destructans has been present for at least one year [36, 82]. All values are presented with ± standard error, unless only one individual was sampled. Empty cells indicate no P. destructans was detected on the species during the sample month. Bold values signify which load is lowest in regional comparison per species per month, with similar loads in both regions italicized. Only species that were captured in both regions are included in the table. Samples from both studies were analyzed at the same lab by two of the authors (KLP and JTF)
